Oggi vi voglio raccontare un incontro piacevolissimo che ho avuto il giorno prima di partire per queste mie vacanze.
Sono stata in un negozio in centro a Verona (la mia adorata città!), ed ho conosciuto Patrizia Prencipe, una giovane stilista che, dopo aver lavorato sia in Italia che all’estero per diversi marchi, ha deciso di produrre una sua collezione di borse.

Today I wanna tell you about a lovely and interesting meet I did with a Italian stylist just the day before to go in holiday.
I’m been in a shop located in my loved Verona’s downtown where I’ve known Patrizia Prencipe a young italian fashon stylist whom after several years working in Italy and overseas for important fashon brands, she decided to draw and build her own brand bags.
Alcune creazioni presentano contrasti e mix di materiali insoliti e particolari, come il PVC, la pelle e il sughero; inoltre, parti delle borse come la patta, la tracolla e le frange possono essere scambiate e sostituite, creando un infinito numero di combinazioni.

Some creations are built with a strange combination of colors and not usually materials, for instance PVC, skin and cork; moreover some bags parts as flap, strap, fringed could be swapped or replaced to create an almost infinite set of combinations.

Tutti i modelli hanno il nome di famose artiste (Frida, Jeanne, Berthe, Tina, Tamara...) e il mix di materiali e colori è ispirato a luoghi e culture di tutto il mondo (Cagliari, Bangkok, Bahamas...).
“...Alcuni di questi posti sono legati a momenti o ricordi importanti
della mia vita, altri sono solo luoghi che scatenano la mia
immaginazione e che vorrei visitare. Mi piace raccontare ai miei
visitatori la storia di ciascun pezzo e spiegare le ragioni della
scelta stilistica...”
All models brings the name of famous artists (Frida, Jeanne,
Berthe, Tina, Tamara…) and are of materials and colors inspired by lot of places and cultures in the world (Cagliari, Bangkok, Bahamas...).
“...some of this places are part of my most important moments and remembrances of my life, others are only sites that inspire me and make me eager to visit it. I like to explain to my customers the reasons of my stylistic choice...”
Anche in questa occasione ritengo sia importante sottolineare la scelta puramente etica di produrre in Italia, derivata dall’esperienza (in Pakistan, Bangladesh e Iran), dove Patrizia Prencipe ha lavorato e insegnato Fashion Design per le Nazioni Unite.
“...Non mi andava l'idea di sfruttare la manodopera a basso costo. La produzione in Italia garantisce una qualità senza pari e un equo trattamento degli abili artigiani con i quali collaboro...”
Io sono rimasta affascinata da queste creazioni e soprattutto dalla storia e dall’impegno da cui derivano.

Must be markable point out the ethic way to manifacture these bags in Italy, way suggested from previously experiences Francesca did in Pakistan, Bangladesh e Iran, where she worked and tought Fashion Design for United Nations.

I was amazed about these creations mostly about the history and pledge where those come from.
